Public + Private

(A Historic Preservation Story)

Working with both the city and private entities, this small town of Kaukauna, WI converted its historical roots in one building to the future of its town. The former Thilmany paper mill, built in 1872, was renovated in 2016 to house the public library into what is now known as Grand Kakalin. This project follows the historic preservation of the landmark and gives you an insight into how it came to be, through the eyes of the people who watched and made it happen. Produced by Stadtmueller & Associates, and Feather & Bone Films, directed by John Christian Adams.
